The Exodus Metaphor
Exodus is a model of redemption. Stripping the archons and powers, leading them prisoner along with him in triumphal procession. Now that is a really, really important set of phrases that I'll make a lot of in the rest of this talk,. But just remember it. So this is a Christus-victor, I smashed the archon and powers, and now I'm the king. It certainly includes in it forgiveness, but it seems to be encased around a broader picture which is much closer to this Exodus narrative.
