Nagel: We accept that there are cases of Moralluck, but also seems like we have this control principle in the back of our minds. He says if you like this idea that we can mitigate constitutive luck, which we started with, where you perform actions that indirectly shape your character, I think you have to accept resultant and circumstantial luck. Nagel's paper is trying to enter into this debate to say, well, you've got to accept Moralluck of one kind or another If you want to accept that we're actually sometimes morally responsible for what we do to various degrees.
