The Power of Moral Injury
I think what they call moral injury at least my understanding of it is that When you're watching something people suffer And you help us to intervene. So if you're a soldier and you see villagers being massacred You know of your doctor And or a nursing emergency ward And you see suffering That the system perpetuates, but you perceive it as helpless to intervene. Yeah, that's the moral injury Which means that there's a part of us That really demands to be engaged and to make a difference. I don't think there's anything vicarious about trauma It's interesting it's people's own woundedness that they hadn't resolved yet that they haven't healed yet. That's being active.
