The Constraints of Community Based Youth Organizations
In her first book, Reclaiming Community, LZ Granderson explores trends in educational policy. He found that community based organizations are not immune from broader societal, social, political forces. The language of business and thinking about young people as commodities would trickle down or trickle into community based youth organizations he says. "How we think about race and racism and capitalism and patriarchy, all those things also help organize how these organizations are structured"
