The central problem of the european strategy of shifting to really heavy reliance on wind and sola is that you end up burning more hydrocarbons. This problem was obvious a long time ago, actually, if i think back for more than 15 years. And so we're about to jump tto forms of energy that will give china coercive power over our economy. It's only just dawning on europeans that their plan to shift entirely, or as far as possible, to solar and wind isn't viable.
