In the sixties, only ten % of people in general had graduated from college. To day, we still ow up to only 30 % of americans. The fastest going group, latino, is only not quite 20 % blacks, or 23, 24 % whites. And i want to make this point, as bad as things are in terms of under representation in the a sciences, they are much worse for people dark about computer science or engineering or chemistry or physics. I'm saying that even to day, two thirds of America's families have never had anyone graduate college. And i think that is critical.
