The Difference Between Creek and Branch in the Appalachian Trail

Kathy: We are not linguistically monolithic. That is, we don't all speak the same English. It's been a number of years, but I believe we talked about this on the show maybe 10 years ago. The same thing happens with a name for small water courses. Creek is more common in one part of the country and Brooke in another.
