How to Monetize for Musicians
The only way to sort of monetize outside of these streaming services is these physical things, which are not a crazy profitable business. I think probably NFTs or web three is going to be a lot of the infrastructure we need to do this. Can you then sell music NFTs that are representative of like a one-of-one piece of art or song etc and maybe you know have those be really profitable? It's getting to that point. The over-financialization of music in that sense is actually what artists want to do and how like the relationship they want to have with their fans.
