The Mystery of the Red Mercury Murders
Police in Johannesburg, South Africa opened an inquiry into a series of mysterious deaths that had taken place between November 1991 and March 1994. None of the so-called red mercury murders has ever been solved. The Johannesburg police suggested publicly that the victims had been assassinated by Israeli-Missaud agents who feared they were brokering red mercury to Saddam Hussein.
