The Heavenly Patterns Are Connected to Meaning
There are many heavenly patterns, and of course, there are the heavenly bodies above. There are also heavenly patterns in the sense that there are patterns of being. And so people started to see them and started to worship them. This is what we would call the fall of the angels, or the fall ofthe gods. The troparion is only showing us something which is already there in the story at the outset.
