The Jeddah track which is trying to get the parties to agree to a humanitarian ceasefire for now going nowhere, repeated agreements about ceasefire's just haven't held. You've got EGAD heads of state these four leaders also trying to forge a ceasefire without much luck and at the same time you've got the AU getting this big group together to talk about sort of Sudan's political future but is there much point doing that while there's no hope of the army and RSF stopping fighting I mean to what extent are these tracks linked together? Well a lot of people are actually arguing that focusing on a ceasefire that does not respond to the political crisis which actually resulted in the conflict in the first place
