Are We Still Using the Past to the Future?

The author says we can't rely on 100 year flood maps that were built before climate change even was a thought. Flood plaine maps haven't been up dated for really, i was just thinking that yet, using the past to the future is really kind of nonsensical. New orleans should think about at least five thousand years and not 200-250 - it's going to have to be stronger.
