The Anti-Colonial Tenant Movement in Canada
In the history of Canada as a white settler colony, labor organizations have often made advances for workers on the back of excluding either indigenous people or racialized people. Are there similar issues in the history of tenant organizing but also conversely just to speculate, what do you think an anti-colonial tenant movement in Canada could look like? That is a huge and hugely important question because when we talk about housing and mental housing, we're obviously talking about housing that is built on land. So the next question is whose land are we demanding access to this house? What does it mean in terms of what claims we're making about our right to be in particular land? I haven't looked in depth
