Science Advances, Scientists Don't Challenge the Evidence
I think we're scientists are getting far worse press now than they did say 20 years ago, simply because people who give opinions rather than giving material based on evidence. Scientists deal in hypotheses, which are really expectations of what might happen if they do a test. But doing those hypotheses means that you're a bit of a cynic and challenging the known information all the time. And when then you challenge the logic using the evidence and science advances, unfortunately, that's the way scientists think. There's nothing wrong with being wrong - there's nothing bad about having an informed opinion. It doesn't go that way, you've advanced science because the logic that was so right before you did your bit
