Guttenberg didn't invent printing, he existed before him in various different forms. Printing also predates Guttenberg by 80 years and came from China too. Exhibition shows us the prehistory of printing and crucially its subsequent impact. But there's no evidence that Guttenberg was directly influenced by Asian developments.
