The Jays Shifted Less Often Against Righties This Season

The jays shifted the second most frequently of any team 50.9% of pitches which was second only through the dodgers at 53.1%. The league as a whole was only at 20.4% against righties which was down from its high in 2020 but a bit higher than 2021 if you do it too often. After June 21st a lot less shifting going on he still allowed a 357 babip not much lower at all and in fact if you look on the full season gossman allowed a 350 babip with the shift on and a 354 babip just with a standard defensive alignment so it's weird that it's not much loweryou'd expect it to be significantly lower
