The Importance of Risk Management
There is a tremendous mandate among investors to make money and not lose money. Many times I find that people are most able to manage capital effectively if their risk taking is less than what might be optimal logically. And so many successful portfolio managers I've worked with are not high risk takers, but they ended up being very consistent risk takers and achieved very good risk adjusted returns. You can't just expect a return for not doing anything. Like you've got to put some skin out there if you want some reward.
