Sneaker is, in a sense, this innovative product, because it was a shoe made with a rubber sole rather than a leather sole. The next step was so-called EVA soles, ethylene vinyl acetate, copolymer and thermostastic polyethylene. Once you get into the uppers, from the 70s onwards, you're seeing natural fabrics and canvas and leather being replaced by breathable material mesh of various types. Yes, so it is really a sector in which we have seen really continuous innovation in clothing.
