I'm not sure which side gains more. I think maybe short-term, this helps Russia because maybe they can move units that are there and didn't have to worry as much about some kind of Ukrainian operation. The fact that they can no longer definitely no longer can do that for the foreseeable future doesn't seem like it really matters that much. This is a devastating economy, and the Ollie's are the knock-on effects. So yeah, again, I'm just not really that sure how this affects everything except for the fact that it's obviously an awful humanitarian disaster.
