In one of his video rants a couple months ago, Putin mentioned three new battalions on the front line. He said they were called torch stream and flame; we thought we would check it out. A name came up: Erasti Yakovianka from southern Russia who had died in battle as a member of the Botok or stream battalion fighting for Gazprom. We know from conversations with his relatives and also from an election filing that he was a Gazprom security guard.

The US Federal Reserve paused its interest rate rise campaign on Wednesday after 10 straight increases, and former UK prime minister Boris Johnson has been found to have committed “multiple” contempts of parliament. Plus, Russian energy giant Gazprom has been backing militias in the Ukraine war.
