Brazilian Police Violence Is Disproportionately Affecting Black People
In the past five years, eight children under the age of 12 were killed during police operations in rio. A lot of upper and middle class brazilians see police killings in poor neighborhoods as a natural response to the overall violence in b Brazil. White bBrazilians earn almost twice as much as black ones do. There is no formal segregation laws after the end of slavery or laws against inter racial marriage.
