The Different Modes of Thinking

We talk about knowing something, but we have other words for describing how we think about objects in the world or concepts. We can doubt, we can suppose and then we can know. So what's the difference between doubting, supposing, knowing and believing? Well, it's at least helpful to recognize that we have these different modes of assessing the world around us.
