Are Residency Training Programs Coming Up Short?
The number of neurology fellowships has exploded over the past 20 to 30 years. Residency programs, especially those in the urban setting, residents are really necessary to provide inpatient care. People are going to be excited by and encouraged to go into things that they see. If their outpatient exposure is limited, why would they go into it? They don't see enough of it.
