Is Gerard a Philosopher?

In a sense, does Gerard kind of align with say Aristotle classical philosophy, St. Thomas Aquinas? And part of that essential structure is that we desire, right? So you're already teleologically directed towards the good, right? You want things. How does Gerard overlap with that understanding of teleology? Is that implied? Is he specific? Does he give his own articulation of this kind of what you call Aristotelian, Thomistic classical understanding of Teleology? He's pointing out what's already there and then drawing out some of the implications of that.
