The Importance of Forgiveness in Decision Making

I think human beings aren't inherently bad from a young age, like when we're born and in our infant years. And so I believe that punishment is absolutely necessary, but I'm also really passionate about rehabilitation and forgiveness. When you go and meet kids in schools or youth centers, what kind of messages are you trying to give them? My general message is that if your heart's beating, you're not just here to fill up a seat on makeup the numbers. There's something that you can offer the world but it's not for me to tell you.
