Writing a Difficult Story
It actually was the relationship between the characters that pushed me forward. And i think there is one emotional truth that a writer can hold on to as she tries to write a difficult story. I mean, let's face it, you don't write a terrific novel about an uneventful week at the beach. You write a terrific about people who are in trouble,. and they're sort of slow tumble back to the light, if that's possible.
