The Story of Anne and Maurice Ravel
Maurice Ravel was thought to have suffered from PPA, a form of dementia. A play by Jake Davenport tells the story of two people who lose their minds and find each other across time. The first performance took place during the pandemic; it will be staged in San Francisco this summer. After the clip, you'll hear a panel discussion that I moderated live at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. Because the panel is recorded live, the audio is a little rougher around the edges than usual but I hope you'll still enjoy the conversation as much as I did.
