The Future of Japan's Energy Security

Japan is the largest LNG importer in the world. They have 20 or 30 reactors that are still offline. There's 1.8 gigawatts of coal fired capacity and 5.5 gigawatts of new gas fired capacity being built now in Japan. The whole history of this island, as far as I can tell, is intimately tied to a question of energy security.
