The Peter Principle of Incompetence

Yellen should be fired for not knowing the rules. She was unbelievably incredibly bad as a witness. That's a disastrous performance. The people who run things put people like Yellen out there because they want you to have an impression that the Fed is doing its best. It has a limited number of tools and they're decent people trying to do their best, but it's an overwhelming situation, but they're well intended.
