Is Leviticus 17 Forbidding King Blood?

In leviticus 17.10, Christ says to the israelites: "I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar" If god wills that blood should be used for atonement and not for drinking, doesn't that avoid an old testament contradiction a wot? i think a good response to this would just simply be that it's under a sacramental form. Jesus christ isn't asking us to ingest blood. He's asking us to ingested blood under the accidents of wine. I repeat, t repeat that one. We can just get it and respond.
