Are We Going to Have a Civil War Without Slavery?
Without slavery, it seems to me that if you don't have slavery, you might still get a push for secession over some other topic later on. What's your feel on that? And if so, how would that have been met? I guess the thing I'm grasping for here is some philosophical justification for secession or denying secession like we had at the founding, not finding it. But slavery comes closest. Take that away and what do you have left? This is what they act on.
