The Century of the Self

I made a series called The Century of the Self, which was about the rise of individualism. I used to suggest in then that the younger generation are bereft of hope. Have you read the novels with Sally Rooney? She's really interesting because she's sort of almost the realist of our age. What she describes is, oh, they're described as Gen Z or millennials. They desperately want to do something radical. And it's because they're so self-conscious. It's got to be broken through that self-consciousness if you want to change the world.
