How Can the US Decide That It's a Military Balloon?
The trajectory of the balloon raises suspicions contrary to Chinese claims that it was aimlessly drifting off course because of an adverse weather event. I think they are very clear that its course was was been pre-planned programmed to fly over certain areas of interest for the Chinese. The US side revealed there was a second balloon simultaneously drifting over central and Latin America. And the Chinese government on February 6 had to publicly acknowledge that that was also one of the balloons that drifted off course. It is quite interesting that last two years the Chinese have come up with this fleet of balloons to supplement whatever intelligence gathering they're doing from satellites.
