The Importance of Sharing Trans People's Journey Stories
I think elevating people's personal stories is really important. For people who aren't trans, sharing your own journey story of getting to know trans people or why it's important that these bills don't pass are the biggest thing. Not all trans adults support puberty blockers and surgery for minors. Who should have the ultimate authority to make the final decision about this for kids? I think ultimately parents, medical providers who are working with young people day in and day out who know those young people are the best people to make a medical decision,. not legislators, not onlookers, not trans adults who don't know these young people.
