The cost of remote work is you lose, without a lot more effort, you lose accountability. Every team member should feel accountable to their work. We have a channel in slack called daily up dates. And every single person on a team is required, unless they're out on vacation or sick, to list out what they did yesterday and what they're doing to day. It's that simple.
