The Business of Selling

In 1923, salesmen was a broad term that really encompassed everybody and the role of saleswoman was certainly prominent. Salespeople had the means to more easily represent the merchants who sold on behalf of the producers across a greater landscape. These earlier traveling salesmen were referred to as drummers because they judged their own success by merely how much they sold.
