Fusa was always interested in food, but she first got interested in chinese casine after graduating from university. She became the first foreign student at the sican institute of hiaquisine. When fucia went back to london, she wanted to bring some of what she'd learned to non chinese cooks in britain. So she wrote books, she started king with restaurants, and she really has, in the years since, been fundamental to making chinese cooking in the west more complex than it is now.
