Teddy Roosevelt's Life Was Larger Than Life

As a child he was afraid of horses, terrified of wild animals. His doctors told him he might not live long unless he cultivated an indoor life. He said, and I quote, by acting as if I was not afraid, I gradually ceased to be afraid. How will you become the man or woman of God that he wants you to be? You've got to be willing to do it badly. We have to say, I am strong and choose to be what he says we are.
