Shlomo Kari's Plan to Reform the Media in Israel
Shlomo Kari is the Minister of Communications in Israel. He wants to dismantle all regulatory bodies and replace them with a body that is largely his pointees. The plan would curtail public broadcasters revenues and pass on a lot of the funds to channel 14, he says. "People who follow Israel and care about it should really be listening very closely," writes David Frum.
