Self Awareness Is the Starting Point for Leading

The first competency that has been a hallmark of your work has been self awareness as the starting point for emotional intelligence. If you are tuned out of your own range of abilities then, you know, you can have horrible blind spots and think you're doing a great job. Self awareness is also fundamental to mondering how well you 're doing, to knowing whether how you see yourself fits with how others see you. It also, interestingly, is fundamental to knowing your values and acting from your own sense of meaning or purpose.
