Barbecue Tips for Smoked Ribs

A good ribs start with a good brine, if you have time to do so. A very simple solution to getting something that tastes smoky, that you don't actually have to smoke, is just using liquid smoke. So add some liquid smoke to your brine that you're going to be soaking the ribs in, and add a little bit more than you think you need. When it smells a little smokier than you think it needs to smell, it's probably pretty good. The next day, take the ribs out of the brine, pat em dry, apply a dry rub.
