Veyron is often thought of as the least accessible of the three composers. Vabern uses an extremely unusual combination of instruments in these five pieces, but this one takes the cake. The third piece might be the most jarring, and I hope you can hear it as I've turned the volume up as far as it can possibly go. To me if you change your outlook on what a piece of classical music should be then Veyron's music can be extremely illuminating and even powerful.
