The Battle of Heilzburg

Bennigsen and his generals decided to fall back to await Napoleon's counter-struck from a good position. During their time in winter quarters, the Russians had built strong, prepared defenses. The Russian Cossacks seemed to have gotten the better of this combat but neither sides horsemen were able to penetrate the enemy cavalry screen. Both commanders would be forced to hedge their bets and gas at the other's intentions.
