The Avatar State

I have so much to say about Gyatso because when they first got to the air bending temple, Ang said that Gyatso is the greatest airbender in the world. I feel like we knew that he was dead because it's been 100 years and he was already super old to begin with. But just kind of seeing how he went is kind of heartbreaking. As someone who lost a family member at a very young age, I always get emotional seeing Aang overcome by his grief in finding Gyatso. Like no wonder he goes into the Avatar state as like a defense mechanism because those emotions must be overwhelming.
