The History of Judaism in the Second Century

In the second century, a shimon baryohi was one of the people involved in that preservation movement. And eventually it led to the writing of a setof a set of tractates called the mishna which attempt to preserve this earlier information that was not written in the tora. The talmud is a set of commentaries on the mishna. Now, all that is public, or exoteric, a materialand it led to what's called to day rabbinic judaism.
