When Pushkin was in the south, particularly in Kishina of Odessa, he met a number of people who were involved in a conspiracy. The northern society continued to meet in secret in 1825 on the 14th of December at the coronation of Nicholas I. There was an attempt to mount a push against Alexander I and his security services as it were were sort of on the alert.
