Pete Dawson visits Hanadur airport in Japan and buys an apple. He also learns about a vending machine that will give away food if there's an earthquake. The machines are designed to make their contents free of charge during heavy rain or evacuation orders. They contain 300 bottles and cans of soft drinks and 150 emergency food items, he says.
