A person with borderline personality may also be very physical and eager to spend a lot of time with their partners. The shift to their partner's feelings, if the real or imagined, may cause them to withdraw or to become angry. And so these emotional switches can be difficult to handle. Sometimes they can lead to uncomfortable public scenes.
