There are many parallels in how Ayatollah Khomeini has purged so many from his inner circle. He disinherited his successor, who was meant to succeed him as a Supreme leader. In many ways, we find ourselves now with a political sort of milieu where he has similarly purged or eliminated all of his rivals. And I think both, at both moments, Iran was left weaker, politically divided and, you know, arguably just unstable.
