The Half Life of Facts
Peter Teal has this famous line that you know we asked for flying cars and we got 140 characters. I'm interested in understanding the overlap in the divergent so I think the half life of facts thesis seems to point to the same conclusion which is that over time there is a deceleration in the amount of progress regarding technological breakthroughs but whereas Teal attributes that to some kind of decadence or sclerosis or lack of willpower I hear you describing it more as almost just a neutral just descriptive law of the way that you know knowledge works and so therefore there's like no agency necessarily.
