I'm interested in understanding the overlap in the divergent so I think the half life of facts thesis seems to point to the same conclusion which is that over time there is a deceleration in the amount of progress regarding technological breakthroughs but whereas Teal attributes that to some kind of decadence or sclerosis or lack of willpower  I hear you describing it more as almost just a neutral just descriptive law of the way that you know knowledge works and so therefore there's like no agency necessarily.
